As pivotal moments go, the appearance of the Order of the Phoenix and the emergence of Dumbledore’s Army are up there with the death of Harry’s parents and Hagrid’s immortal words “You’re a wizard Harry.” The fifth book was a real turning point in the series and set the scene for darker and more dangerous times.
Fans can now return to that beloved part of the story thanks to a new cooperative card and dice strategy game by USAopoly – the same crowd that brought us the other popular cooperative game, Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle. In HARRY POTTER: Death Eaters Rising, players work together in teams to take down Voldemort and his Death Eaters, first choosing a leader from one of three groups – Dumbledore’s Army, Hogwarts and The Order of The Phoenix.
Players will then rally a variety of year five characters to their cause, including fan-favorites Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Alastor Moody, Mrs. Norris, Severus Snape and Rubeus Hagrid. The collective armies and players must then work together to stop the spread of dark influence throughout the wizarding world.
“HARRY POTTER: Death Eaters Rising captures the difficulties and terrors Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger faced during their fifth year at Hogwarts as they scramble to persuade the wizarding world of Voldemort’s return,” said USAopoly Lead Game Designer Pat Marino. “Just as setbacks and devastation befell Harry and his friends during their journey, players can expect an equally challenging path to success in Death Eaters Rising that makes victory much more rewarding.”
