Announcing three spellbinding workshops for the July holidays

Quizzic Alley, Australia’s most magical store, is thrilled to announce three spellbinding workshops for the July school holidays.

Designed to keep young witches and wizards entertained while school is out, the workshops start on Wednesday 5th July and run daily throughout the school holidays. They are suitable for magical and non-magical folk of all ages, from five to Dumbledore which is very old indeed.

Each student gets to take home the magical items they create and, for an extra sprinkle of enchantment, they also get a complimentary QBrew, the beverage of choice for witches and wizards everywhere.

Founder Nearly Legless Mick said the workshops are perfect for families visiting Canberra or to break up the drive to the snow.

“Who doesn’t want to make their own wand or brew a potion? If we’ve learned anything from all the workshops and parties we have hosted since we opened over five years ago, it’s that there is a kid in all of us. It turns out adults enjoy making potions as much as children do. It’s a such a fun thing to do with your kids,” said Mick.

So, what are the three workshops on offer in the July school holidays?

👉 Wand Making  Every young wizard or witch needs a wand of their own, and this workshop allows participants to craft their own, tailored to their unique magical needs. Under the guidance of an experienced professor, students who join this class will learn the art of wand making and also ancient wand lore.

👉 Potions Class  Step into the shoes of your favourite (or least favourite) professors and master the art of potion brewing. In this hands-on class, students will learn to mix, stir, and create a Calming Draught, leaving with their very own magical potion.

👉 Make a Mystical Bath Bomb Join the professor for a class where students create a magical cauldron bath bomb, building up the layers. With a fiz and a fizzle, all will be revealed in the bath at home.

👉 Take Home the Magic  The wand, the potion, the bath bomb: each student gets to take their creation home, making these workshops even more fun and magical.
