Now you can play Harry Potter: Magic Awakened in Australia

Australia has been added to the soft launch of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened which means you can finally play the game ahead of its global launch.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a free-to-play immersive collectible card (CCG) and role-playing (RPG) game based around the Harry Potter series. Familiar characters are stylised in a new, painterly style. You play as a student at Hogwarts and duel against opposing students, building up a deck of cards that represent spells, potions, beats and more in battle.

When not engaged in battle, you can follow in the footsteps of your magical heroes by solving mysteries, exploring the castle, browsing the stores in Diagon Alley or playing Quidditch for your house!

Originally slated for a 2022 global release, the game was delayed in November 2022. The last update about the game in March introduced the game to South Africa, Israel and a bunch of European countries. Since then player feedback has prompted some changes in and around the game. A date for a worldwide launch is yet to be announced.

Want to play? Simply navigate to the App Store or Google Play store and jump in. Along with Australia, Canada and New Zealand have also been added to the list of playable countries.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is being co-developed by Warner Bros. Games and NetEase Games under the Portkey Games label. You can get more information, including the latest changes and updates, from the official website.
